On Monday, September 4th the Forum of Assago hosted admission tests for the international degree course in Medicine and Surgery of Humanitas University. More than 900 entrants competed over 80 positions available for European citizens for the academic year 2017/2018. In fact, there were 130 positions. However, 50 of them had already been assigned to non-European applicants via a test that took place in April. Foreign competitors were the 21% of the entrants, and they mainly came from Germany, United Kingdom, Greece, Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden and Spain.

The test for the Medical School

The admission test (IMAT, International Medical Admissions Test), written in English and created by Cambridge University, took place at the same time at the Forum of Assago and in 16 cities all around the world.
On the test, there were 60 multiple-choice questions. 2 about culture, 20 about logic, 38 about science (18 on biology, 12 on chemistry, 8 on physics and mathematics). Competitors had 100 minutes to complete the test.

The test for Nursing and Physiotherapy

It was on September, 7th in Milan, Rome, Bari, Catania and Palermo. Participants to the test for Health Care Jobs – Nursing and Physiotherapy gave their answers via PC. There were 50% more participants this year than in the previous one. Competitors were more than 700 all over Italy (55% women, 45% men), for 32 positions in physiotherapy, 60 in nursing in Milan and 28 in Bergamo.
The admission test for Health Care Jobs consisted of 100 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 110 minutes. 50 questions about logic, 20 about biology, 14 about chemistry, 12 about mathematics and physics, and 4 about culture.

Competitors with the highest scores on the test will be able to begin their studies in the new university campus. More than 20.000m2 and 4 new buildings for lessons, services for students, study areas, sports fields, research activities and residences.

Humanitas University

The academic year 2017/2018 is the fourth year of activity of Humanitas University. Its activities are dedicated to Life Sciences. It works jointly with IRCSS – Humanitas Clinical Institute of Rozzano, hospital and research centre. It has been studied by Harvard Business School as a management case and certified for its clinical quality by Joint Commission International.
