Dinner with Humanitas: Soybean, banana and strawberry smoothie for a boost of calcium, vitamins and proteins

June 7, 2019

To prepare this smoothie, also suitable for vegans because it is completely vegetable, you can replace the strawberries with fresh peaches for an equally tasty flavor. Here is the recipe, commented by Dr. Silvia Goggi, nutritionist at Humanitas San Pio X.

“In the summer the desire for ice cream is evident, but how do you combine this desire with the shape – said Dr. Goggi -? This vegetable milkshake, creamy, with no fat and no added sugar, allows not only to take away the pleasure of something fresh, but also to fill up with calcium, vitamins and proteins”.

Ingredients for two people

6 frozen strawberries, chopped
1 medium banana
100 ml of soy milk
100 g vanilla soya yoghurt, frozen
2 sliced fresh strawberries

Preparation

In a blender, put the frozen strawberries, bananas, soy milk and frozen yogurt. Mix well.

Pour into tall, icy glasses and garnish with slices of fresh strawberry. Serve immediately.
