Estrone is used to control symptoms associated with menopause and perimenopause.

What is Estrone?

Estrone is a synthetically prepared or naturally occurring steroidal estrogen. It interacts with estrogen receptors and triggers a cascade of cellular reactions that lead to the regulation of specific genes. In this way, it increases the synthesis of other hormones and proteins and stimulates the release of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) by the pituitary gland.

How should Estrone be taken?

Estrone can be administered orally or intravenously. It has many different forms such as creams, vaginal suppositories or solutions.
