Dr. Giorgio Pivato has been practicing medicine since 1998, having performed over 30,000 surgeries during his career.

Dr. Pivato’s main field of interest is hand surgery, encompassing all of its components, such as plastic surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and reconstructive microsurgery. The Doctor currently acts as an external locum consultant in several hospitals in northern Italy. His experience allowed him to successfully complete over 140 replantations and over 30.000 surgeries of the hand and arm, offering novel surgical approaches, such as arthroscopic surgery, microsurgery and prosthetic surgery. What is more, 90% of Dr. Pivato’s surgeries are conducted on the outpatient basis, thus offering considerable convenience to patients. As rehabilitation is vital for guaranteeing long-term success of the surgery, Dr. Pivato’s surgical team works closely with physical therapists, specializing in hand rehabilitation, who take over the patient’s care from the very day of the operation.

Doctor Pivato was one of the first senior physicians in Italy to offer telematic consultations to his patients.
