Contraindications and warnings associated with the risk of Enzalutamide

Enzalutamide can compromise the ability to drive or operate hazardous machinery. Its effects can be aggravated by alcohol and other drugs. During treatment with Enzalutamide, it is important to always use a condom during sexual intercourse. 

 

Enzalutamide should not be taken in case of treatment with alfentanil, apixaban, artemether-lumefantrine, avanafil, dihydroergotamine, ergotamine, fentanyl, axitinib, bortezomib, bosutinib, cabazitaxel, crizotinib, cyclosporine, dabigartan, ivacaftor, lurasidone, mifepristone, phenytoin, pimozide, protease inhibitors, quinidine, rilpivirine, rivaroxaban roflumilast, sirolimus, tacrolimus, ticagrelor, vandetanib or vincristine

 

Before starting treatment with Enzalutamide, it is important to tell your doctor if:

 

  • You have any allergies to the active substance, its excipients, or any other drugs or food
  • You are taking any other medications, herbal remedies or supplements. Mentioning in particular:  gemfibrozil, itraconazole, bosentan, carbamazepine, efavirenz, etravirine, modanafil, nafcillin, phenobarbital, rifamycins, St. John's wort, alfentanil, apixaban, artemether-lumefantrine, avanafil, dihydroergotamine, ergotamine, fentanyl, axitinib, bortezomib, bosutinib, cabazitaxel, crizotinib, cyclosporine, dabigartan, ivacaftor, lurasidone, mifepristone, phenytoin, pimozide, protease inhibitors, quinidine, rilpivirine, rivaroxaban roflumilast, sirolimus, tacrolimus, ticagrelor, vandetanib, vincristine, brentuzimab, elvitegravir, estradiol valerate, omeprazole, and warfarin ulipristal
  • You are suffering (or have suffered) from liver or kidney problems, blood vessel disease, seizures, head injury, stroke or transient ischemic attack
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding
