Secretion of fluid from the nipple is a common occurrence. For women who are not pregnant or nursing, the leakage is a common occurrence that should not be alarming itself. When the whey is milk (or colostrum, said "first milk") it is defined like galactorrhoea nonpuerperal. The color of the secretion, which can be transparent, yellow, white or greenish, is not useful to understand whether it is a normal condition or an abnormal sign. You should ask for a medical consult. The more serious condition related to this sign is breast cancer, which is in 10% of cases due to serous secretion. Rarely it is also a sign for males.

The secretion of blood from the nipple of a woman or a man is never normal.
